A key component of Levi’s Vintage Clothing‘s Spring/Summer 2013 collection features pieces that pay homage to the American hot rod culture of the 1950s and ’60s, highlighted by a suede trucker jacket and woven shirts done up in designs ranging from broad colorful stripes and printed stars motif to an archived Hawaiian pattern. In celebration of the collection, Levi’s has launched a traveling Hot Rod exhibition that includes custom one-of-a-kind apparel pieces and props. Check out highlights from the collection below, as well as images from the traveling exhibition and a specially commissioned video about the origins of hot rod culture in Southern California in the early 1950s.
